This distributor is shown here as an example of what NOT to look for when searching for Corvette distributors. This is a #1111499 aluminum distributor which was used on most 1969 396 and 427 big block applications excluding the Corvette. The Corvette never used a cast aluminum distributor during these years.
This is a # 1110070 Fuel injection distributor used on 1963-65 applications. It has a dual drive for the tachometer and fuel meter.

If the distributor color coding from the factory is known, the color code will show last in the remarks column under that distributor. If no number shows up after the last letter code in the remarks column, no color code is known for that distributor

The same #1110985 distributor is shown here. Note the new design part number/Date tag band that is wrapped around the shaft of the distributor. Also of note here is the short "stovepipe" oiler and the threaded tach drive orifice is clearly visible.
This photo shows the typical factory timing mark used on most Corvette distributors that were lined up at initial engine firing at the Flint engine plant.
