Remove the screws that attach the hand brake cover, then remove the cover itself. Be sure to raise the back first to aid removal of the plastic sleeve around the handle.
Be sure to mark the top of the clip; this will be helpful during reassembly.
Next, remove the air conditioning controls from their bezel.
