participating in the actual Rallye (with drivers searching for clues and answers to score points for 50 questions about the Rallye), gathering sanctioning points for the NCCC, or adding to their score in the Triathlon, whereby participants aimed for top scores in drag racing, autocrossing, and the Rallye. Virginia’s Star Scott, in a ZR-1, ran away with the Triathlon honors.
   If you missed this year in Illinois, or if you’re located out west, the Route 66 organizers are taking their show on the road for a second event in 2000. On october 27-29, the Route 66 Corvette Show takes
Noted Corvette technician Gordon Killebrew was one of the "professors" for the Route 66 Corvette College in the track suites
The autocross, setup on a 9/10th-mile section of the Route 66 road course, gave participants a chance to wind out their Corvettes. Over 3,000 runs were made during the weekend, in both rain and shine.
