Not so with Mike Yager’s collection. As president and founder of Mid America Designs, the giant Corvette mail-order company, Mike has been collecting Corvettes for many years. A few years ago, he created a museum for his possessions and called it MY Garage. But this museum, located at the south end of the Mid America headquarters in Effingham, Illinois, is open to the public, for free, six days a week.
    Through the lobby of MY Garage and into the museum, you’re greeted by a beautiful Pennant Blue 1954 Corvette in front of an old Standard Oil station display. To the left is a room called "Mike’s Room," filled with historic race cars. Since the cars on display change often, what we saw may be different from what is there now, but generally there are one or two Corvette Challenge racers from the 1988-89 series. Behind the cars,
