Robert, from Canfield, Ohio, is the owner of this 1954 roadster. Like most of the 3,640 Corvettes produced during that first "official" production year, Robert’s car is Polo White with a red interior. The base 235 cubic-inch, Blue Flame in-line six-cylinder is nestled in the engine bay, and sitting behind it is the requisite Powerglide transmission. (Mid-way through the 1954 production year, the 150-horsepower 235 received a revised camshaft that provided an additional five horsepower. Other changes which distinguished the ’54 Corvettes from their early-production predecessors included blue, red, and black color options; a beige interior option; extended exhaust tips; tubeless tires; and a single hood latch replaced the two-latch design).
