The VHP mass airflow sensor won’t superheat air like the stock aluminum housing. Instead, it dissipates heat to ensure colder air reaches the throttle body. The Powrflo air filter and lid assembly provides higher volume for unrestricted airflow.

finished with the cooling system upgrades. The CFMF is fully adjustable, however, VHP has preset the unit where it will work well at virtually all temperatures. The unit comes complete and can be installed in about a half-hour.
With the cooling system modifications complete, the next step is to improve air induction. VHP has developed a CNC-machined Mass Airflow Sensor made of high quality polymer that won’t superheat air like the stock aluminum housing. It also dissipates heat more effectively to ensure colder air reaches the throttle body. Dyno results show increases of up to eight horsepower and six foot pounds of torque and, according to VPS, driveability and performance improvements are immediately felt. To ensure adequate airflow to the MAS, VHP installs their Pwrflo air filter and lid. "When working on the induction system, I always recommend removing the entire assembly from the throttle body clamp to the air filter housing, Warner told us. "This allows easier access and prevents any damage to the cars finish."
The installation is a no-brainer. First unplug the MAS and air temperature sensor.
