Corvette’s
25th anniversary celebration was the Silver Anniversary edition. Painted in
styling chief Bill Mitchell’s favorite combination of two-tone silver,
the Silver Anniversary edition was one of the best looking Corvettes of the
decade. The buying public thought so too, ordering 15,283 of the cars.
If Mike "Corvette Mike" Vietro couldn’t
own a ‘78 Pace Car, "the next best thing would be a 1978 Silver Anniversary
L-82 4-speed." How are these cars doing in the marketplace? Mike is not
sure. "I don’t even see these cars in the market any more. Where are
they?" Trying to pin down if the prices of the Silver Anniversary cars
has reached its plateau or even started to rise, Mike can’t make that call.
