     Jeff Nowicki is passionate about Corvettes. He races a modified version of the C-5 called the GTR. The GTR is an upgraded street performance Corvette that his company builds in limited numbers for customers at his Troy, Michigan shop (www.spectergtr.com). Last year he raced a nearly stock C-5 in the 1999 24 Hours of Daytona and finished an amazing 25^th overall. This year he brought an improved version of his GTR, sponsored by Jack Cauley Chevrolet to the 2000 race in hopes of improving his finishing position. Because of its engine size of seven liters, the GTR was placed in the GTO class.
