    John Powell, owner of Powell Motorsports, is an intense competitor. He’s raced GM products for many years and uses them exclusively in his Powell Driving School. When the Motorola Cup series announced the inclusion of the Super Grand Sport class for Corvettes, Vipers, Porsches and BMW for the 2000 season, John immediately went to work with Corvette Racing’s Ken Brown. He and Ken worked to determine which Corvette parts would make the winning combination. In january, John and his team were at the Daytona test session with a cobbled, multi-colored Corvette.
