and functional as possible. Just like the cars it houses, Dick’s dream
garage had to be unique and built to suit his tastes. It has served that purpose
very well and was even used for his son and daughter-in-law's wedding reception
for 150 guests just after completion.
The dream garage has three garage doors (front &
rear) and is 25' wide by 42' deep with 10 1/2' ceilings in the front portion
with 38 "pod" ceiling lights and under cabinet lighting. It can easily hold
4-5 cars and boasts central heating and air conditioning. The floor is tiled
and the walls are Oak wainscoted and wall papered and have insulated Anderson
windows. There’s a full sized parts storage loft upstairs accessed by
a dual banister staircase. The work area consists of custom oak raised panel
cabinets and Formica counter tops. Of course there’s a full security
and fire alarm system. And talk about tools, Dick has a full compliment of
air tools, tool cabinets with assorted automotive tools, MIG welder and diagnostic
equipment, a bead blast cabinet, air compressor and Snap-On’s mid-level
floor lift.
