After considering a move to a new house closer to work, Dick Lagasse and his wife decided they would rather stay in their old home. It had many custom-built features and was in a great location, close to shopping, schools, church and major highways. The only things really missing were a larger kitchen/dinning room and Dick’s idea of the ideal garage workshop. To please both of them, they decided to take on the two construction projects using Dick’s designs and contracting out some of the work.
     Dick and a contractor friend constructed the garage from the foundation to the roof. They worked long nights and weekends over a five-month period. Dick even went so far as to build his own oversized barn-style garage doors.
