During
judging at
Bloomington Gold, the car was found to have been built in mid-august 1975, the
exact date showing it to be one of the last 75 of the 1975s to be constructed.
In fact, so late was the build that the right passenger door came from a convertible,
since the plant had run out of parts.
When the judging was completed, Carol and Carls classic Corvette was deemed
worthy of the prestigious Bloomington Gold Silver award, as well as the coveted
Survivor Certification. Plus (and we are not making this up), the Banickis
got these awards while celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in Bloomington.
And you thought you were an aficionado, huh? Well, wait.
