English ’81
     John Lyle lives in a small seaside town in northeast England, so his ’81 Corvette is a rarity on the Great Britain highways. In true English enthusiast form, John has pumped up the 4-speed Corvette with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and AirGap intake with 750cfm carburetor, Crane cam and roller rockers, Pete Jackson geardrive, Hilborn scoop with K&N air filter, reworked HEI with an MSD module and Accel 300+ ignition, and a straight-through dual exhaust. According to John, the 355 cubic-inch small-block pumps out more than 400 horsepower at 6,500 rpm.
