Not
that I was complaining - I can think of worse places to be than in the cockpit
of a new C5. So I decided to sit back and enjoy the ride. Through the constant
stop and go traffic, the Borg-Warner 6-speed was a pleasure, and the Vette kept
its cool even with the A/C cranked up to high. As luck would have it, I got
a traffic reprieve as I exited onto Sunset Boulevard, so I had a chance to check
out the optional Z-51 suspension, which, incidentally, Jodi had checked off
on the option sheet along with the 6-speed.
The
presentation would be the culmination of a short but harried relationship with
the Playmate Corvette. Originally, Corvette Mike (www.corvettemike.com) was
contacted by Playboy Enterprises when it was decided that the 2000 Playmate
of the Year would receive a new Corvette. Of course, they needed a Torch Red
2000 C5 coupe “immediately” for a photo
