the mid-eighties, the buzz at General Motors centered around a Corvette like
no one had ever dreamed of. With an overhead-cam aluminum-block V8 designed
by Lotus and assembled by Mercury Marine in Oklahoma, the ZR-1 Corvette became
reality 1990. If you see one on the street, take a picture. With a total of
just 6,939 built over the 1990-1995 production run, they're as rare as a UFO
