Day
Two of Corvettes at Carlisle 1999. The show field aisles are choked with thousands
of Corvettes. Thanks to brisk swap meet sales, there are some vendors already
tearing down and going home. The Corvette Corral has been buzzing with sales
and it was "Judgment Day" for participants of the Fun Display as 114 Celebrity
Judges chose their favorite Corvettes. The Fun Display winners will receive
their trophies tomorrow afternoon. New this year is the Woman's Oasis, a special
area where women could go to sit and cool off, talk and even get a massage.
The highlights of the day were the Corvette Challenge Reunion and the unveiling
of John Powell's new racecar.
