This year, it's expected at least 35 Challenge cars will be in attendance. We
remember watching these Corvettes tangle during the Corvette Challenge series
of 1988-1989, and to see so many of them in one place again is truly exciting.
Mid America was a major sponsor of the Challenge series a decade ago, and they
haven't forgotten about this unique showroom stock racers. Nor has Chip Miller,
who has several Challenge cars in his personal collection.
We're absolutely amazed at the booming activity here
today. If you are considering coming to Corvettes at Carlisle on Saturday, we
suggest you come early and be part of what could be one of the largest Corvette
events ever held anywhere. CM.com

made its Grand Debut at Corvettes at Carlisle. We shipped our crew to Carlisle
with a special big-screen monitor to demonstrate of all the free and interactive
sites in the magazine. We are delighted with the response the Corvette community
has given us.

The
lineup of Corvette Challenge cars was most impressive. Ten years ago these cars
clashed on road courses through America and rewrote the SCCA history books.
Today they are in the hands of collectors who celebrate their legacy.
For
many Corvette enthusiasts, the main reason for attending is to peruse the swap
meet for those hard to find NOS or used parts. Over 1500 vendors spaces were
operating on Friday.
