and later Corvettes. Lets face it, the LT1 produced more than enough power for most non-racetrack applications. The ZR1 was 30% more powerful, but it also cost nearly twice what a standard Corvette cost. To most people it just wasn’t worth it. Chevrolet pulled the plug on the ZR1 in 1995 after building a total of 6939 cars.
