Winding
down Morrison Motorsports is the hardest thing Ive ever done. And Ive
done some pretty hard things in my life.
Its killed me to get ready for this ebay auction.
Thats partly because Im a pack rat. Through all the years Ive
raced Corvettes, I havent thrown hardly anything away. So its
all still here to give me flashbacks.
I mean Im looking at a case of Mobil 1 posters
and it hits me that it was exactly 10 years ago right now this week
that we had two Corvettes spread all over the shop analyzing the wear
and tear from a 24-hour Sebring test a month earlier. These were the world
record cars that would make history march 1 and 2, 1990 at Fort Stockton.
Ive still got those cars.
And Ive still got the two yellow Corvettes
we were prepping exactly 13 years ago fall 1986 for the 87
24 Hours of Daytona. Only a few of us knew at the time they were actually
developmental ZR-1s.
Ive still got a bunch more cars, including
the Trans-Am Corvette that won the 1989 Detroit Grand Prix, not to mention
more parts and
