take the pictures. We were stuck on A1A in the bowels of Miami at a top speed of 15-18 mph. Miami is a beautiful city, but there are just too many people. If half the people left, there would still be too many people. Keily spent the next few hours reminding me what a mistake my photo idea was and that I was not allowed to have any more "great ideas" as she put it. Hey, the coast was only 3/4 of an inch away on the map. How was I to know that translated into two hours of madness?
The Eternal Question
After
our excursion into Miami, we were finally in the keys on historic US 1. Keily
was gawking at all the shell stores as I was pondered one of man's eternal
questions, which is, when your surrounded for miles by the ocean on both sides
why do some areas reek of fish and others do not? Is there only so much smell
to go around? Along this particular stretch of US 1, the road is only two
lanes but every few miles or so the single lane doubles for passing. It is
proceeded by signs that say "Be patient passing lane 3 miles ahead."
What Keily did
