The
#73 car was equipped with an experimental carbon fibre hollow front sway bar.
It can be seen in this photo tucked underneath the oil cooler. The new technology
sway bar is eighteen pounds lighter than the standard sway bar.
Restrictors
are used to equalize horsepower. The restrictor that is shown here looks like
a funnel. The restrictor only allows so much air to enter into the engine, which
limits horsepower. This type of restriction favors high torque engines like
the 488 cubic inch Dodge Viper.
